Want to get your hands dirty? Volunteer at our urban farm! NFI offers volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups at our urban farm site in NE DC. The work is general organic farm maintenance, including digging, weeding, sifting compost, planting and more.
Our workdays not only help us maintain our farm, but also provide community members an informal opportunity to learn about the basics of organic gardening. We host regular volunteer workdays on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings from March to November. For more information and regular updates, join our mailing list.
